Kirsten's Bio
Kirsten Treichel is an artist and Registered Early Childhood Educator who has been running creative, relational, and child-led programs for the past 16 years.
For five years she was an instructor with Roots of Empathy, an award-winning charitable organization that offers empathy-based programming for children in kindergarten through to grade 8. Kirsten has had the opportunity to deliver this program in a number of TDSB schools, including neighbourhood schools Frankland and Blake.
Kirsten completed her Early Childhood Education diploma in the Spring of 2020. Kirsten is also a graduate of York University and soon to be graduate of the Fine Arts Studio at Centennial College. She has also completed a number of art courses at OCAD, as well as regularly organizing collaborative art projects for a variety of community organizations.
Since 2015, Kirsten has been operating Cavell Avenue Preschool, continuing her creative, empathetic and inspiring work with children.
